Words From The Photographer

♥ Think of the wedding through the guests’ eyes when planning out details. Would guests need transportation provided to get to the venue because the hotel it far away? Is it is a hot day? Would guests appreciate water bottles and fans? Do your guests love to dance? Would you want ibuprofen provided for your sore feet in a bathroom basket? You really want to give your guests a great experience.

♥ When creating your timeline, work your way backwards from the end of the night to the beginning. So if the party is ending at 11pm and the reception lasts 4 hours, dinner would begin at 7pm. Which means cocktail hour would start at 6pm. Most ceremony’s usually last 30min, so your ceremony would begin at 5:30pm. You will want a couple of hours before the ceremony for photos, so you plan to arrive at the venue at 3:30pm for photos. It takes 15min to get from the hotel to the venue, so leave no later than 3:15pm. So hair and make-up should be done around 3:00pm. Also, when traveling, always add in a 15-20min buffer for traffic or tardiness in leaving.

♥ Just like you have favorite co-workers, vendors have their favorites. Always ask for recommendations from your vendors on who they love to work with. If the vendors are having fun, then your wedding will run even more smoothly.
