This is a simple but radiant session of two people who are madly in love with each other that chemistry is just completely overflowing between them. These two New Yorkers stepped out of the hustle and bustle of the city and into a beautiful horse ranch in Port Jefferson, which is 60 miles away, to have their engagement photos taken and the picturesque and rustic location of the countryside ended up being a perfect backdrop for their sweet and playful poses. Congratulations Jennifer & Mike!

Bride:

Mike and I met in January 2011 through a mutual friend (Mike’s college roommate / my friend from Long Island), at a party in Manhattan. We quickly started spending every weekend together, even though I was living in the Lower East Side at the time and he was living up in Yonkers – a 45 minute train ride away. Eight months later, I was ready to get out of Manhattan and we found an apartment together in his neighborhood. Although I knew he was “the one” after only a few months, I became absolutely sure when he agreed we needed to move out of our first apartment after only a year – just so that we could find a pet-friendly place to live! Less than a month after moving into our new apartment, we brought home a sweet 8-week-old Shiba Inu puppy that we named Kaya, and we both immediately became obsessed with her. Now we really felt like a family! On Christmas Eve 2013, we went out to see a movie, and when we got home I went to the bedroom to change into pajamas. When I walked into the living room, all of the lights were off except for the Christmas tree lights, and Mike was standing next to it looking far more serious than he usually does. He got down on one knee and proposed, saying many beautiful things I could have remembered if I wasn’t crying too hard at the time! We’re both so excited to finally be husband and wife, and to celebrate with a great party for our closest friends and family!
