The Beauty in Pastels and DIY’s

For those who are fond of pastels on weddings but doesn’t want it to come off a bit too light and laid back; Paige and Kyle’s wedding could be a great inspiration. The couple dating for four years wanted a simple and more DIY kind of wedding. From the Bride’s hairstyle (Yes, the bride did her own hair. Amazing!) and down to the bride’s personalized wedding shoes. Even the candy treats were handmade by the bride and her mother. Talk about a hands-on bride! They used sparklers as replacement for rice to “welcome” the newly weds. This wedding is a proof that you can have it elegant and personal at the same time. You’ll just have to find great ideas on what you think would suit your dream wedding.

From Shannon Lutkins (The Photographer):

What is the overall story for this album?

Paige & Kyle have been dating for 4 years. They both share a deep love you can feel between them. Their day was one of the most fun I have had the honor to photograph. There was no stress just lots of tears of joy and love for all.

Was there any Do-it-Yourself (DIY) projects? If so, can you describe them in detail?

The bride and her mother made white chocolate covered caramel apples. These were a huge hit. They were gone before the first dance!

What were the highlights from the ceremony & reception?

The couple had a fabulous choreographed show stopper dance. The bride danced and sang with the band. It was entirely planned to be fun. During formals a butterfly came around and a flower girl chased it. It made mother of groom cry as this symbolized her mother who had passed to her.

What part of the ceremonies do you think was the most memorable for the bride and groom?

The groom looked thrilled when the bride walked down the aisle. After she came out of a vintage limo which added a great drama.
