Celebrating Love the French Way

Meaghan & JP exchanged their wedding vows at the beautiful and historical St Mary’s Cathedral, then celebrated the night away at the stunning French-inspired Ma Maison in the scenic hill country. We absolutely love the military saber arch as the two left the church. And yes, that is a helicopter you see at the end for the couple’s departure! Congratulations, Meaghan and JP! Amour élégant!

Extra Special Wedding Details

The venue. It was most important to the couple. They got married on a gorgeous property in the Texas Hill Country, and the venue itself was European-inspired and felt like a French estate. The Green Cathedral is a special place shown off by a reclaimed antique French gazebo. The Great Hall is marked by beautiful exposed beams, chandeliers, and antique French accents.

The decor. They incorporated succulents everywhere to capture the Texas Hill Country feel, and they tied everything together. There was also a cigar bar around a fire pit, and guests loved it.

The reception tables. The couple left thank you cards at each place setting to express how truly special each guest was. People were touched.

Helicopter departure. JP surprised Meaghan with a helicopter ride for their reception exit. Flying over Austin to the hotel for the after party was surreal to say the least!

The Bride’s Advice

Don’t get lost in the details, and don’t take each decision too seriously. Friends and family remember our venue and band more than anything, and this is what helped make everlasting memories. You’ll have also have more fun planning it together and stay focused on what really matters. As a result planning was very low stress, and we have so many great memories from our engagement period and the time leading up to the big day. — Meaghan
